Associate Professor Asha Bowen is a clinician-researcher at Perth Children’s Hospital and Telethon Kids Institute. She is Head of Department of Infectious Diseases at Perth Children’s Hospital and Program Head of the END RHD Program at Telethon Kids. Chicky a Bardi person from Ardyaloon on the Dampier Peninsular. He was born, raised and educated in Darwin. Chicky is known and well respected in Environmental Health Sector and in community working in and with remote communities across the Kimberley’s for the past 40 years, and worked in both government and NGO sector. He has been a Community Council member, Mentor, Trainer and for the past 20 years been anchored in his passion, Environmental Health. Chicky is highly valued by Nirrumbuk and is mentor in his workplace.

Dr. Lauren Clark is one of two veterinarians employed by East Arnhem Regional Council to deliver its Animal Management Program, and the only veterinarian on Groote Eylandt. Dr. Clark was born and raised in Darwin. She graduated with a Bachelor of Zoology from the University of Queensland in 2005 and a Bachelor of Veterinary Science from James Cook University in 2011. Since then she has worked in numerous veterinary clinics across regional and rural Australia and the UK before settling in Groote Eylandt in 2021.
