Dress Code
The RACV is a membership organisation and it provides a warm and friendly environment for its members and guests. A neat and tidy appearance is required at all times. To avoid embarrassment or inconvenience, the dress code is outlined below.
Conference Areas
Smart casual: Community poloshirts, shirts or T shirts (no inappropriate slogans) are acceptable. Men: trousers. Ladies: trousers, skirts or dresses.
Not acceptable: Rubber thongs, worn footwear, ugg boots, moccasins, torn-t-shirts and jeans, bare midriff, singlets, tank tops, tracksuit pants, active wear, beachwear, board shorts, sportswear, caps and t-shirts with inappropriate slogans.
Billiards Room
Dress code: Men are required to wear a collared shirt / polo shirt, trousers, shoes and socks. Ladies should wear equally appropriate attire. Leather thongs are acceptable.
Blue Tree Grill
Dress code: Men are required to wear a collared shirt. Ladies should wear equally appropriate attire.
Members’ Dining Room
The Members’ Dining Room is the City Club’s signature restaurant. Expert chefs use the finest produce to create an à la carte menu with French, Italian and modern Australian influences. The Members’ Dining Room features architectural wood panelling, finely crafted furniture and extraordinary artwork making it the venue of choice for dining in comfort and elegance. The award winning wine list showcases the Club’s extensive wine cellar, including a range of vintage wines from select Australian wineries and international wineries. Meet your guests for pre-dinner drinks in the adjacent Wine Bar.
Dress code: Men are required to wear a collared shirt and a jacket is preferred. Ladies should wear equally appropriate attire.
General
The weather in Melbourne at this time of year can be cool and may average between 10-17 degrees. We recommend that delegates pack some warm clothing, a light rain coat and closed in shoes.
