Kirstin is the course coordinator for the Graduate Diploma in Environmental Health Practice and Master of Environmental Health at Flinders Univesrity. She is an active member of Environmental Health Australia, the professional body representing environmental health practitioners in Australia. Her research is focussed on anything in the environment that affects human health, including methamphetamine contamination of houses from cooking or smoking meth, the gastrointestinal parasite Strongyloides stercoralis, the toxicity of tattoo inks and their removal products resulting from laser removal…food, air, soil, water, wastewater. She is interested in engaging with communities in environmental health issues.

Emma Stanford has a BA, BSc and a Graduate Diploma in Environmental Science from Monash University. Emma has more than twenty years experience working in health from an aboriginal, government, hospital and medical research perspective. Emma has worked as a policy adviser to two Federal Health Ministers, she has worked in communications at the Royal Women’s Hospital and as Executive Officer for the Association of Australian Medical Research Institutes. Emma is a Senior Research Fellow and Associate Director in the Indigenous Eye Health Unit at the University of Melbourne involved in the senior management of the group and with a focus on trachoma elimination.

With a background in environmental management, Jory has worked with Indigenous communities in Australia, Canada, and his home, Alaska, to evaluate, monitor, and improve the environment through collaboration for over 10 years.
