Taylor Smith

Western New South Wales Local Health District

Taylor Smith is a Wiradjuri woman from Central West New South Wales. Taylor is currently a Trainee of the NSW Health Aboriginal Environmental Health Officer Training Program. As part of the trainee program she is enrolled in a Bachelor of Natural Science (Environment and Health) at the Western Sydney University. Taylor is also in the final stages of completing a Bachelor of Nursing through Charles Sturt University. Taylor has been in her current position of Environmental Health Officer Trainee for almost three years. In this role she is based at the Bathurst Public Health Unit and covers the Western and Far West Local Health District. This role provides Taylor with a diverse range of duties from regulatory duties to Aboriginal environmental health projects. Taylor is passionate about Aboriginal environmental projects and overall improving the health of our Aboriginal communities and people.
