Tineka Turner is a local Angurugu woman from the Wurramarrba clan. She speaks Anindiliyakwa and English. Tineka graduated Year 12 at St. John’s College in Darwin in 2021 before returning to Groote Eylandt. She is passionate about animal health and welfare and has several adopted dogs. Tineka started working for the Program as an Animal Management Worker in January 2022. She has excelled at the role and will start formal veterinary nurse training in June 2022.
