Louie’s skills as a machine operator were invaluable in Nirrumbuk’s infancy in Environmental Health work. Louie became an Environmental Health Worker (EHW) in 2000 primarily servicing communities in the Kullarri region. Over 22 years in the role of EHW Louie has undertaken work throughout the Kimberley, including Balgo, Mulan and Billiluna where he was involved in moving over 700 cars from around the communities.

Louie has a real passion for the work he undertakes as it makes real difference. ‘’I really enjoy the work I do, and I think it’s important to be able to help and make a difference in the communities, I love that I am able to help my people’’.
